About
I grew up in a small community in the Midwest, where my parents owned and operated a small market. I worked alongside them throughout my schooling, and their hard work and dedication made it possible for me to attend college.
My B.A. in Liturgical Music and an Associate’s degree in Grief and Loss Studies, which served as the foundation for my diverse 30-year career in ministry, granting me the privilege of serving more than 100 churches across the U.S., bringing a wealth of experience and understanding to each unique community I’ve encountered.
In my deeply personal book GLASS COLLAGE, I candidly share some of the most profound struggles I’ve faced. Beyond the confusion, pain, dishonesty, and hurt,I discovered an unshakable resilience that allowed me to overcome these challenges.GLASS COLLAGE is not just a story of hardship, but also one of inspiration. It’s a testament to the transformative power of our Lord Jesus Christ and the unwavering faith that serves as a vessel for sharing life lessons and spiritual insights.Through the years, I discovered my love of writing while creating poems and other narrative works for friends and colleagues. I enjoy putting my pen to paper andam currently preparing the foundation for my 2nd book.
As a single mother living on the West Coast, I experienced a series of devastating losses. I lost my dream job through no fault of mine, and soon after, I lost my home and my car. With no support system and my family 2,000 miles away, I hit rock bottom. In my desperation, I surrendered myself to Jesus Christ. In that moment, He sent me an epiphany that led me to a new career opportunity. Securing a new job, I bought an old car and lived in that car for six months, while working to rebuild my finances after everything I had lost.
Though the journey was incredibly challenging, God's grace and mercy provided me with the peace, comfort, protection, and courage I needed to move forward. Over time, I became a Born-Again Christian and was able to transform my brokenness into something beautiful—my GLASS COLLAGE.
